Changing the Way We Live
When Yolk Property Group launched their new apartment project in 2016, it was the first official trial of a solar battery powered micro-grid in an Australian strata development. The apartments were part of a pilot project providing groundbreaking research on how solar battery and monitoring systems can work within strata residential developments. The trial has literally changed the way we live and encouraged the uptake of renewable energy initiatives within apartments throughout Australia.
Bringing the brand to life
Our first step was to create a memorable and distinctive brand name. Something that embodied the confident and innovative attitude of the project. A name that connected with the future residents of the apartment and key stakeholders such as government agencies, scientists, and environmental innovators.
Evermore meaning ‘from now on, for always.’ ties in perfectly with the project’s intent of ‘today’s actions influence tomorrow’s world, so let’s act now’. The WGV suffix stands for White Gum Valley. Adding WGV to the name provided a local reference to the location of the development.
Visually, Ad Capital’s design team looked at using the infinity loop symbol (∞) along with colours and elements of sunshine in the original logo designs before settling on the active green and grey colour scheme that aligns the apartments with the innovative project partners. The o in Evermore was converted to a recycle circle to further highlight the long list of recycling initiatives within the development.
Evermore WGV’s sustainable way of life was communicated at every opportunity along with messages of praise for the future residents of the apartments.
The offer to be part of the Evermore lifestyle resonated with many. The apartments sold quickly and received industry awards for its vision.
It’s surely our responsibility to do everything within our power to create a planet that provides a home, not just for us but for all life on Earth.”
